AUFGABE
This international contest of ideas aims to give a contribution to the creation of a new integrated and sustainable territorial development, in order to satisfy the demands at all levels: local, regional, national, continuing the improvement of the territory image to an international level. The goal of the town planning-environmental requalification is connected with the fundamental’s one: the improvement of the economic and occupational system that the county town needs; only a strong structural operation, on a vast area, that programs a town-planning system and a series of services located on the coastal territory, with the aim to attract turists in seasons different from the only summer season, can stimulate the creation of new firms and contribute to the growth of social well being. Through the integrated reading of the area of interest, of its historical evolution, of its landscape and naturalistic aspects, of how it was, of what has been lost and what has been conquered or destroyed by the action of men; the reading of its actual look, as the result of the social and economic transformations and the institutional action in time, identifying the main problems and considering the transformations in action. The participants to the contest, through an idea of unitary and total project, in alternative to the existing town-planning tools, with the peculiarity of a strategic economical-town planning program, which includes an integrated intervention system, are asked to suggest qualified ideas, which will allow to resolve the prior environmental and town-planning problems and to enhance the value of the territory by paying attention to the relations and connections with the sea, the hinterland, the urban polycentric system and the relative predictions of transformation of the public space and the mobility, the right integration in the existing environmental system.
