AUSLOBER
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), Republic of Korea is the promoter. It is re-sponsible for financing the competition and all matters related to its supervision. It endorses the decision of the competition jury, and organizes the follow-up measures of the outcome of the competition.
AUFGABE
The government of the Republic of Korea has developed and carried out various policy measures to develop the city of Gwangju, located in the southwestern part of Korea, as Asia's cultural hub, and is seeking the enhancement of the nation's cultural industry by building the Asian Culture Complex (ACC) for the development of Asian culture equipped with cultural and artistic symbolism and the cutting-edge technologies.
It is to select an architectural design of excellence so that the selected architect(s) and the promoter may jointly create a work of architecture accommodating the needs of ACC in an innovative, artistic and economic way.
